successfully passed This study course includes topics on introduction to CERT,
Fire Safety, Hazardous Material, Terrorist Incidents, Disaster
Medical Operations, and Search and Rescue. The course calls for 6 to 8 hrs to complete, and consist of 40 questions. We received a certificate of completion and .8 CEU’s from the Independent Study Office.
May 19th, 2004 completed testing & successfully
passed This study course includes topics on major ICS functions, primary responsibilities, ICS organizational units, span of control, major incident facilities, and the function of each. Also, what an Incident Action Plan is and how it is used, and the common responsibilities associated with incident assignments from the Federal disaster response workforce perspective. The course calls for 3 hrs to complete, and consist of 25 questions. We received a certificate of completion and .3 CEU’s from the Independent Study Office. May 20th, 2004 completed testing & successfully passed This study course provides a basic understanding of the history, roles, and services of disaster relief voluntary agencies in providing disaster assistance. The course calls for 10 hrs to complete, and consist of a 25 question pretest, and an exam of 50 questions. We received a certificate of completion and 1.0 CEU's from the Independent Study Office. May 21st, 2004 completed testing & successfully passed This study course provides training to those who may be called upon to function in an ICS environment. The Incident Command System (ICS) is recognized as an effective system for managing emergencies. Several States have adopted ICS as their standard for emergency management, and others are considering adopting ICS. The course calls for 10 hrs to complete, and consist of 50 questions. We received a certificate of completion and 1.0 CEU’s from the Independent Study Office. |

On September 4th, 2004 Andel successfully completed an
unassisted Urban track consisting of : 1 1/2 mile unknown aged track in a residential, high traffic area Major road crossings/varied surfaces (Asphalt, gravel, paved, dirt, grass, etc) Multiple intersections Cross track that is more recent than the track Trying weather conditions Obstacles including fencing not limited to; field, barbed, chain link, rock, brick, etc. Distractions including but not limited to; Misc. animals, loose dogs/cats, bystanders, vehicle traffic, bicycle traffic, children at play, etc. Being able to recognize when the dog is working the correct track, loses the track or gives a negative. Building/indoor search included in track K9 required to successfully scent discriminate correct victim |

State University, in conjunction with Industrial Safety
Consultants, Inc., have developed several Emergency
Response Solutions training programs for public and private
sector individuals
Incident Command Awareness - Certificate received for successfully completing on September 13th, 2004. The Incident Management System (IMS) also known as an Incident Command System, is a system for managing personnel who are involved in the response. Using an Incident Management System will help to reduce the chaos that occurs during emergencies. |

On Friday, February 4th, 2005 we received our Search &
Rescue certification from K9 Kampus & S.T.A.R.R. Academy.
Testing commenced with communications skills and collection
of lost person data. Land navigation skills were to be utilized
including the use of a topographical map and GPS location of
scent article. |

On Saturday, February 12th, 2005 we completed a class on K9
first aid which included Animal assessment, treatment of
injuries & canine CPR procedures.
