CONGRATULATIONS on purchasing a puppy!
- You just got ripped off on a misrepresented animal -
Some do it intentionally, some just don't know any better.

Here are some of the warning signs you missed...

  1. Simply because a kennel say's they are licensed, does not mean they are honest. Places on the internet my even be USDA licensed for an exotic animal, and also happen to sell fake wolves, this does not mean the USDA insures the quality of their animals.

  2. CKC, UKC, and WWKC, as far as Wolfdogs go, are not recognized by most reputable breeders and owners.  Reputable WOLFdog registries are: Iowolfers, USAWA, Lupine Awareness, and NWHA (which is no longer operational)

  3. Generally speaking, a true high content female would not be capable of breeding before the age of approx 22 months.

  4. Claims of Red wolf, MacKenzie Valley, etc. Please see Wolf Tales

  5. "Huge" Wolfdogs have a higher incidence of disorders such as Hip Dysplasia.

  6. Many of the breeders you will find on the internet use "famous" linage as a selling point for puppies. An example might be; They 'heard' that their animal was related to White Fang. Jed, who played White Fang in the movies was owned by Clint Rowe, who stated he was 25% wolf.  He also was not white....

  7. A LARGE percentage of breeders representing Arctic wolves (not Artic) do not have what they claim. When an Arctic wolf is claimed in the mix, one might be urged to initially suspect either white GSD or Great Pyrenees. True Arctic wolves are rare, and well documented.

  8. If an animal has yellow eyes, that doesn't make it a Wolfdog. German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamutes, and Siberian Huskies can have yellow eyes. See this website.

  9. Blue eyes are a fault and are not generally found in the well bred high content adult. (This also applies to Arctic's)

  10. A Wolf or for that matter a true high content Wolfdog will generally only produce Spring litters.

  11. If an ad tells you how you can make money selling Wolfdogs, encourages you to rush into a purchase, or sells to anyone with the money, RUN from this breeder!

  12. Reputable breeders don't have a price range for different puppies.

  13. Wolfdogs produce puppies - not cubs.

  14. Litters produced should be uniform. (All look similar. Not where one puppy looks like a Shepherd, one like a Malamute, one like a Sib, etc.)

  15. High contents generally do not have large litters (ie.10 puppies)

  16. High contents puppies will not be born white. Not even Arctic puppies are born white.

  17. Avoid "high content" litters of puppies containing pink nose's/foot pads, white toenails, ears that don't stand up, white streaked heads, tails that curl over the back, etc.

"COMING SOON......
.'Mini-Hybrids'. In contrast to our line of large Wolf Hybrids and NEW! - this year. "
We are hoping to have our 1st litter/generation of pups from a beautiful but small 86% Wolf Hybrid female with her mate that is 1/2 AKC registered Border Collie and 1/2 80% Wolf Hybrid.
Little (large border collie sized), Wolf Hybrids that wouldn’t require the amount of feeding and containment that the large ones do. ‘Easy-keepers’ for people that love the wolf but don’t have the means or room that regular, large, high-energy Wolfdogs need.
Well, we all cant wait to see what our 1st litter will look like (and hopefully that will be soon) - especially the Ears!
